"Thank you for your affirmation. Please pack up; I'll take you out of here."
"What about the time machine?" Vega asked.
"Although I'm reluctant, we can only destroy it." Vega exclaimed, "Why don't you send us back?" Alice had the same question but didn't speak, merely looking at Daechir with her beautiful eyes.
"That's absolutely out of the question. You two hurry and pack; I'll handle everything else." Neither of them had many important belongings, and in just ten minutes, they each emerged with a bag on their back.
"Where are we going?" Just as Vega finished speaking, there was a "clang" in the room. The entire floor sank downwards, and an entrance appeared in a gap in the corner of the wall. "Ah! When was this built?" Vega asked again, surprised.
Daechir didn't answer directly but went down first, then looked up and said, "Come on in!" The two followed her into a space only about thirty square meters large. A submarine was parked in the middle, and another robot stood beside it. Daechir walked over and pressed a spot on its neck. In a moment, the robot woke up. He looked around, and upon seeing Alice and Vega, asked, "Who are these two girls?"
"Number Three, you take them to the new location. Don't ask about anything else."
"Daechir, what about Number One and Number Two?" "Number One is at the Eagle's Nest. Number Two has been destroyed by me. If you ask any more questions, you'll end up like him." Number Three immediately shut his mouth and got into the submarine. Daechir turned to Alice and Vega and said, "You two get in as well. I'll take care of things here and then come find you."
"Are you really going to destroy the time machine?" Vega couldn't help asking again. "You don't need to know about that," Daechir replied coldly. The crystal glass sphere opened an exit, and the submarine shot out. The Potato robot got lost in Channel Sixteen. He muttered to himself, "No wonder Daechir never let me in here; it was all for my own good." It wasn't until the next day that Daechir found him. "What on earth happened? You ran off in such a hurry," Potato asked. "It's alright now, I've handled it."
"Let's hurry back. Afastin and the others must be getting anxious." The two returned to the Eagle's Nest but saw no one. Daechir checked the surveillance and learned that he and Eve had been taken away by De Silva. "Then let's leave this place too!" Daechir said. "Why? Aren't we going to find Afastin and the others?"
"They should be safe with De Silva. This place has been exposed; there's nothing left to stay for."
"What on earth happened?"
"We're going to a new place. You'll understand everything when we get there."
"Aren't we waiting for Sharu either?"
"We're not waiting for him. I suspect he might be the one who betrayed us this time." Potato said with reluctance, "After staying here for fifty years, I never thought there would come a day to leave."
"What's there for a robot like you to be sentimental about? Let's go!" The two emerged from the passage and reached a main road. Daechir stopped and said, "You wait here, I'll go find a vehicle." Potato knew that if he walked out openly, he would definitely be surrounded by onlookers, so he carefully hid behind a rock. After a short while, Daechir indeed returned with a vehicle. She tossed Potato into the car and started the engine. The car traveled for over fifty hours and arrived at the seaside. The two got out. "Daechir, I can't swim, what do I do?"
"Potato, I'm thinking about something."
"What is it?"
"I'm wondering whether I should destroy you too. You don't seem to be of much use now."
"What are you trying to do?" Potato stepped back, frightened. "I created you back then just to pass the time. Later, I found you quite uninteresting, so I sent you to watch the big..." Daechir hadn't finished speaking. Potato interrupted, "You're talking nonsense! I was created by Mr. Ronnie, and even earlier than you." Daechir chuckled, "That was a joke I played on you. Ronnie is my father, and also a genius. How could he produce such a low-grade robot like you?"
"You're lying! I don't believe you! We are equal robots!" Potato kept shouting. "I'm sorry, my friend, your mission is complete. Let this be your burial place." With a "hiss," a short knife appeared in Daechir's hand, and she instantly chopped off Potato's head. After finishing this, she leaped into the sea and swam towards the depths. After swimming for more than three hours, a submarine mountain range appeared ahead. Using the light beam from her headlamp, she slowly swam forward, searching for an entrance as she moved her arms. After circling for a good while without finding it, she couldn't help muttering, "It should be right here. Could it be that Number Two didn't complete his mission? That damn fellow." Then another thought struck her, "Where on earth did Number Three take Alice and Vega? How did they disappear too?"
Rewind to yesterday. Number Three quietly brought the submarine ashore. Once on land, he pressed a button, and the submarine immediately rose upwards. Four wheels slowly extended from below, and in a short time, it transformed into a car. Alice and Vega, accustomed to such sights, weren't particularly surprised. The car traveled over three hundred kilometers, passing through a mountain forest. Vega suddenly clutched her stomach and cried out, "Number Three, please stop the car. My stomach hurts, and I need to go to the toilet."
"But there are no toilets nearby."
"Then I'll just go in the woods." Number Three, being an honest robot, actually stopped the car. Vega took Alice's hand, "Auntie, come with me. I'm afraid there are snakes in the woods."
Alice smiled, "Alright, I need to pee a bit too."
After they got out of the car, Vega whispered, "Auntie, shall we run away together later? This is a rare opportunity."
"That wouldn't be right. It would be too unfair to Daechir."
"But what's the meaning of living like this, being cooped up for over fifty years?"
"Vega, we don't belong to this world in the first place. It's good enough that we're alive."
Vega was resolute, "I don't care. I'm definitely leaving." Alice thought for a moment, "Alright, I'll go with you, but we must do it on the premise that we don't cause trouble for others." Vega exclaimed happily, "Of course!" Number Three waited in the car for over half an hour before getting out to look for them, but there was no one left in the woods. The next day, he gave up in disappointment and set off alone. As he was nearing his destination, he ran into an enraged Daechir. "Where are the two of them?"
"I'm sorry, they're gone. I searched for a whole day but couldn't find them."
"You useless thing, just as worthless as Number One."
Number Three backed away several steps, wailing, "Please don't destroy me."
Daechir had intended to act, but now, with no one else available besides him, she had to restrain herself. She thought inwardly, "Why are all the robots I create so useless? The gap between me and Father is truly vast."
