Ares is the god of war in Greek mythology. Little Ronnie had read about him in a book and decided to adopt this name for himself. The little girl introduced herself, "My name is Hill, and I'm ten years old." Without hesitation, she grabbed food from the table and started eating. Ares, not wanting to be outdone, also rushed to eat. After they had finished, an elderly woman felt her way in through the door. Hill exclaimed happily when she saw her, "Grandma, you're back!"
The old woman had a kind face with graying temples and carried a walking stick made from a tree branch. "Do we have a guest at home?" she asked.
"Yes, he's a friend I just met."
Dumbhead barked twice upon seeing her, "Woof, woof."
"Is that a dog I hear?" the old woman asked.
Ares stepped forward to explain, "Don't be afraid, it's my robot dog. It doesn't bite." The old woman was holding a flatbread and half a corn cob in her hands. Her eyes were clearly sightless, and she navigated using her walking stick. "Grandma, we've already eaten, you should eat yourself," Hill said. But Ares took the bread from the old woman's hand and bit into it immediately, as he wasn't fully satisfied earlier.
Afastin couldn't persuade Daechir to move, so she took Eve with her to search for their son. Daechir entered Passage Sixteen again, and before her appeared a stunningly beautiful woman who looked exactly like her—it was Alice after she had been injected with the "Telomere Rejuvenation Liquid."
"Father is truly incredible to have invented such an amazing thing," Alice corrected herself, "No, Ronnie didn't invent this. It was created by my father, 'Elliot.'" This was the first time Daechir had heard this name. "Is he also a scientist?" she asked.
"Yes," Vega sighed nearby, "If only we could leave this place someday."
"That's absolutely out of the question," Daechir immediately objected.
"Am I not even allowed to express a thought?"
"Vega, that kind of thinking is dangerous."
Vega coldly replied, "You're just a robot. Don't speak to me in that tone."
Seeing the two about to argue, Alice interjected, "Both of you be quiet and come take a walk with me." The two women glared at each other, both seeing contempt in the other's eyes. They left the stone house and soon arrived at a garden-like courtyard. Various vegetables grew around the perimeter, along with some small animals. In the center was a round table with three chairs. On the other side was a large pool containing various marine fish. The three stood on a patch of grass, and Alice smiled at Daechir, saying, "Don't go back today. Stay and have dinner with us tonight." Vega covered her mouth and laughed, "Auntie, you forgot she's a robot—she can only consume energy spheres." At that moment, Daechir pointed to something that resembled a car and said, "How did the time machine end up here?"
"It doesn't work anymore, so I've been using it as a car," Vega explained.
"Who told you it doesn't work?"
Alice and Vega exclaimed simultaneously, "What! It still works?"
"Yes, according to my data, it can still be used three more times."
"Daechir, could you send us back to our own era?" Vega pleaded.
"That's impossible. In that era, you were already dead. I rescued you. Father said that forcibly changing history would have terrible consequences."
"You really are an obedient robot," Vega said sarcastically.
"Keeping you here is the mission I was created for. I must obey."
After Daechir left, Vega began to plot around the time machine. She decided to convince Alice first, "Auntie, let's go back. I miss my father so much." Alice was moved by her words; she also longed to see Ronnie again.
"Wouldn't that be unfair to Daechir?" she asked.
"She's just a robot. She doesn't have feelings." What they didn't know was that this time machine could alter time but couldn't change location. If they traveled three hundred years into the future, they would still be at Lake Turkana, but at that point, they would be more than 800 meters deep at the bottom of the lake. Without the protection of the crystal glass sphere, they would die from the extreme water pressure. Only robots like Daechir could move freely at such depths.
"But we don't know how to use it," Alice said.
"We have plenty of time to figure it out." Two days passed, and Alice began to understand the problem of being unable to change location.
"Then let's move it outside," Vega suggested.
"We're at the bottom of a lake. How do you propose we move it out?"
"No wonder Daechir isn't worried about us escaping. She already thought this through. I underestimated her."
"She's a robot made by Ronnie, of course she's clever," Alice smiled. Vega sighed, "Are we doomed to stay here forever?"
Today, an unexpected visitor arrived at the Eagle's Nest. When Afastin saw who it was, he exclaimed happily, "De Silva, what brings you here?"
"I want to ask Daechir to come out with us to help recapture the Zi City."
"Don't count on her. She's a terrible robot—my son is missing, and she doesn't even care."
"How did he go missing?" De Silva couldn't help but ask. Afastin immediately launched into a detailed account, expecting great sympathy, but only received an "Oh!" in response. Daechir walked over and looked at De Silva, asking, "You came to find me?"
"Yes, I want to ask for your help. Could you join us in attacking the Illuminati?"
"I'm sorry, I can't help you with that. This era should be shaped by people like you." Afastin shrugged, "See, I told you she wouldn't help."
"Then could I borrow some of your poison spiders?" De Silva asked, lowering his expectations. Daechir thought for a moment, "Since you're a member of the Watson family, I'll give you three."
"That's so few. Could you spare some more?"
"Fine, I'll give you two more. People shouldn't be too greedy." De Silva left happily with five poison spiders.
Basali had given birth to another daughter, but with a different man. This made De Silva completely lose all feelings for this woman. After recapturing the Zi City, he planned to join the city-state. After more than two years of preparation, Simon planned to attack the Zi City in three days. The resistance force and Courage Alliance had grown to over two thousand people, divided into ten groups of about 150 people each, with the rest serving as logistics support. Alena personally led one group. De Silva whispered to her, "I have a secret weapon this time."
"Brother, what new invention do you have now?"
"It's not mine—they're robot spiders from Daechir."
"She really gave them to you?"
"Look," De Silva said as he showed them.
"There's hope for victory this time."
"But there are too few—only five in total."
"So few?" Alena sounded disappointed.
