As Alice and the others made their way to Zi City, the moment they appeared on the street, people started pointing and muttering. Vega turned and asked, "Auntie, why are they calling you a murderer?"
"I don't know either." A moment later, three police officers approached them. Stepping forward, one said to Alice, "Miss, you're under arrest. Please don't resist." Alice didn't understand. Uwa quickly stepped forward to explain, "Officers, you must be mistaken. We've just arrived in this town."
"Please cooperate." The police paid no heed and directly handcuffed Alice. Alice was baffled; not understanding the language, she found it impossible to defend herself. They were taken to the police station, and Alice was placed in a separate room. Before long, the police brought a little girl into an adjacent room. Pointing through the glass window, they asked, "Take a look, is this the person?" The little girl nodded frantically. "That's the woman! She killed my father." After the girl left, several officers entered Alice's room, notably accompanied by a female translator. "Why did you kill those innocent people?" Alice immediately denied it. "I haven't done anything. You must have the wrong person." The police sneered and played a surveillance video for her. The moment she saw it, Alice cried out, "It's Daechir!" The female translator asked, "What? Isn't this person you?"
"No, she's my older sister." Alice didn't dare reveal Daechir's true identity. In the video, Daechir moved with swift agility, snapping a man's neck in an instant. After carefully comparing the video, the police found that the two indeed looked somewhat different. An hour later, Alice was released. She was heartbroken. She had hoped to live quietly in this era, but she had still caused so much trouble, and people had even been killed because of them. When the three of them left the police station, Vega walked with her head down, silent. Alice saw her and asked, "What are you thinking?" Vega shook her head without speaking. She was very worried. This must be Daechir's doing, trying to force them out. If they didn't show themselves, Daechir might continue killing. But she didn't dare say it out loud, afraid Alice would choose to surrender.
The three continued their journey. Afraid of being mistaken again, Uwa bought a car. Three days passed like this, and they finally reached the shore opposite Aldabsha Island. Entry into Zi City required an invitation. Through Uwa's connections, they waited an extra day before successfully getting onto the island. The moment De Silva saw Alice, he exclaimed, "Daechir, what are you doing here?" Uwa had to step forward and explain. Vega said with a smile, "Shorty, hurry up and call me Auntie." De Silva looked at the girl before him, who seemed about his own age. The word "Auntie" simply wouldn't come out. Alice was, in fact, two generations his senior. He understood at once. "So the 'Telomere Rejuvenation Liquid' Daechir got from him was for these two elders of his." By noon, Alena also met Uwa and the others. She took Alice's hand, asking all sorts of questions with great affection, "Quick, tell me how you all came to this era!"
Time rewound half a century. After Daechir found the time machine, she traveled in it to the year 2660. At that time, she was still a female robot with an ordinary appearance. Alice was killed in a small town in North America, Mexico. Daechir had to rush there from Africa. But the first step was a hurdle: she had no currency of this era and couldn't take planes or cars. Finally, she snatched someone's wallet, which solved the problem. Following the coordinates Ronnie had given her, she arrived at a fishpond by a pier in "Shire Town." Fortunately, she arrived early and hid outside the gate first. About an hour later, several men came by, escorting two girls. Daechir muttered to herself, "It must be one of these two. Father said his sister is very beautiful; I'll recognize her at a glance." These men walked through the gate, and she immediately followed. A stout, dark-skinned man saw her and asked, "Who are you?"
"Let me ask you, is one of the two girls you captured named Alice?" The stout man said angrily, "What are you asking that for? Get lost!" Just then, Alice cried out urgently, "I am Alice! Are you here to save me?"
Daechir wanted to confirm one more time and asked, "What's your younger brother's name? And his birthday?"
"My younger brother's name is Ronnie, and his birthday is June 16th." The words were barely out of her mouth when Daechir sprang into action, instantly taking down the five men. Alice exclaimed with delight, "Ronnie sent you, didn't he?"
"Yes, come with me, quickly!" She pulled Alice and started to leave. Vega cried out anxiously, "I'm Ronnie's daughter! Take me too!" Daechir turned to Alice and asked, "Is what she's saying true?"
"It's true." Daechir hadn't killed those men earlier, only knocked them unconscious. The three of them first left Shire Town. Alice asked, "Where are we going? Why don't we go find Ronnie? He should still be waiting for me at the Chilpan Restaurant."
"Do you have any money?" Daechir asked a completely unrelated question. Alice looked puzzled, not understanding what the other meant by this question, but still replied, "I have some."
"Then let's talk after we get in a vehicle." She flagged down a vehicle and headed straight for the airport. "What are we going to the airport for?" This time it was Vega who asked. "When we get there, we'll have a proper talk." The vehicles of this era were called "Sky Expresses" and were incredibly fast, reaching the airport in less than ten minutes. Daechir found a secluded spot and then began to speak, "What I'm about to say might shock you and be hard to believe, but it all actually happened."
"Well, say it then! Don't be so long-winded," Vega said impatiently. "Actually, you were both supposed to be killed this time. Ronnie built a time machine to resurrect you. He had me save you before you were killed, so you cannot appear in this era. You must return to the past with me." Hearing this, Vega shouted, "You're lying! When did my father ever build a time machine? He's always been in the city-state!"
"He hasn't built a time machine now because you are both still alive."
"Are you saying that if we stay in this era, he won't invent the time machine?" Alice asked. "Yes. And without the time machine, there would be no city-state as it is today. The world would be a different place." In this era, the number of people who had joined the city-states had reached one and a half billion. All the city-states combined were called the "New World." Seeing the two hesitate, Daechir continued, "In my time, Amandine is also there. You might even get to see him."
"How did he end up in your time?" the two women asked simultaneously. "Twenty-nine years from now, he and Norforth will travel back to the past in a time machine, and there they will create the city-state."
"Is he that capable?" Vega was a little skeptical.
"Of course, he's not that capable on his own. Mr. Ronnie helped them."
"Alright, we'll go with you," Alice finally decided.
