They walked towards the large rock. Daechir tilted her head up, and after about half a minute, an elevator descended from above. Ares asked in surprise, "How did you do that? I didn't see any lifting ropes." Daechir gave a slight smile. "I'm not telling you." The elevator landed beside the large rock. Several people entered in single file. The button was marked with an upward arrow. When pressed, the elevator immediately began to ascend. Ares looked down, thinking about the technology used here. "Did you make the elevator levitate?"
"No." Daechir shook her head.
"Then can you tell me the method?" Ares asked humbly. "Only when you officially join us will I tell you." As they were talking, the elevator stopped. After a moment, the door opened automatically, revealing a fifty-centimeter-wide, thirty-meter-long chain-link passageway. Ares had a fear of heights. The sides of the passage were empty, and it swayed slightly. He asked, "How high is this?"
"One hundred and eighty meters."
"Can you carry me?"
"How old are you that you still need to be carried?"
"I'm fourteen, not too old. According to the city-state's laws, I'm still a minor."
"Let that tall guy carry you."
"I'm not used to being carried by a man, and besides, I wouldn't feel safe with him carrying me." Daechir reluctantly picked Ares up. As soon as he was close, she couldn't help but say, "You stink. How long has it been since you showered?"
"I haven't washed since leaving the Eagle's Nest. I usually just sunbathe."
A look of disgust crossed Daechir's face. "You really are filthy."
"I'm afraid of washing myself broken," Ares explained. Beyondbear walked at the very front this time. As soon as he stepped onto it, the chain swayed even more violently. Number Three, carrying Number Two, followed closely, then the puppy. Daechir walked behind, with Ares in her arms, his eyes tightly shut. "Are we there yet?" he asked.
"Almost. What's your hurry?" Because the passage was swaying, everyone walked very slowly. "Are we there yet?" Ares asked again.
"If you ask again, I'll throw you down," Daechir said, annoyed.
After a while, they finally reached the other side. "Plop!" Ares was thrown onto the lawn. He opened his eyes. The scenery here greatly resembled the Garden of Eden in the Eagle's Nest. "This place is so big. Won't it be easily discovered?" he asked. "A problem you can think of, do you think I wouldn't?"
"What do you mean? Can others not see this place?"
"Same answer as before: when you join us, I'll tell you the secrets of this place."
"Are you trying to get me to follow your orders?"
"We can be collaborators, discuss things together."
"What do you want me to do? Let's be clear, I don't kill people, unless someone tries to kill me."
"Are you saying you agree to join us?" Daechir asked happily.
After a long pause, Ares finally replied, "Alright, I find you quite agreeable."
Then Daechir began to introduce the place. It was called the "Sky Garden." There were five two-hundred-meter-long steel cables on the island. At the top of each was a huge balloon. Four steel cables formed a hundred-meter square, and the "Sky Garden" was built in the middle. The other cable was used to secure the elevator. All the steel cables were coated with stealth material, all of which was leftover from when Ronnie established Zi City. Ares only then understood, but he also felt a little disappointed, like the disdain one feels when a magic trick is revealed. Daechir continued, "It can also be moved at any time. If enemies discover us, we can escape using the balloons."
"What if the other side has airplanes? What will you do then?" Ares posed a new question.
"Then we'll fight them."
"Is that your answer?" Ares said, disappointed.
"That possibility is very small. This island is already in a very remote location. Even if you're on the island and look up, you won't see anything. I've coated the bottom of the 'Sky Garden' with stealth material. In the air, this place is far from any flight paths. It's impossible to be discovered."
While the two were talking, Beyondbear had already caught a turkey and was roasting it on the side. Daechir pointed to a wooden house on the left and said, "You'll live there. The tall guy can find any place to sleep." After saying that, she walked towards a wooden house on the other side. Ares walked towards Number Three and said to him, "Carry Number Two to my room. I will repair her." Number Three was overjoyed and hurriedly followed with Number Two. Daechir was currently naked, soaking in a nutrient tank. She needed two hours a day, and it would take three months to heal the wounds on her body.
In the small town of Taco, De Silva had an angry look on his face as he said to Vega, "Why did you betray Daechir?"
"When did I betray her?"
"You were the one who told the newspaper her name, weren't you?"
"So what? She's a murderer anyway. What, have you taken a liking to her? Standing up for her." Alice walked over and asked, "De Silva, haven't you found Daechir yet?"
"I can't find her. It's like she's completely disappeared."
"That's why I contacted the newspaper. The success rate would be higher that way," Vega retorted.
De Silva sneered, "You're just hoping she gets caught, aren't you?"
"Little guy, don't go too far. I'm your elder." De Silva closed his mouth, but he was unconvinced in his heart, cursing inwardly, "You despicable old hag, you have such a wicked heart." He sat for a while longer, then excused himself and left. Ares modified Number Two into a very obedient female robot who only listened to his commands. When Daechir found out, she was very displeased and asked, "Little Ronnie, you turned her into your maid?"
"Weren't you planning to destroy her anyway? This is waste utilization. You should be grateful to me."
"Since you've used my robot, you should also do something for me."
Ares said straightforwardly, "What is it? Tell me."
"Help me find Alice and Vega."
"No need to look. They're in Taco Town."
"Alright then, let's set off immediately."
"Will you use force against them?" Ares asked. "That depends on whether they cooperate with me. If necessary, I will take strong measures."
"They are both my elders. Let's all be calm and sit down to talk."
"Cut the crap and let's go!" She said to Number Two, "Pick up your master." After calling several times, Number Two didn't react at all, and even looked at Daechir with hostility in her eyes. Ares smiled and explained, "She is my robot now, so of course she only listens to my commands. And she's not called Number Two anymore. You should call her Mrs. Ares."
"Ah, you want to marry her? She's just a low-level robot."
"So what? Look at my height and appearance. Besides a robot, what woman would like me?"
"But you're only fourteen."
"Although my body is very young, my mindset is already that of an old man." As he spoke, he coughed twice like an elderly person.
